As part of continually grounding the Council’s secretariat on social science research and other professional development activities, and incentivizing their extra efforts to develop projects, the Council allows the members of the Secretariat, from any member of the Staff to the Executive Director, to be involved in or even lead externally funded projects. In such engagements, the Executive Director ensures that the primary work responsibilities of the involved Secretariat members will be continually fulfilled prior to fulfilling their specific responsibilities to the externally funded project.
