We are pleased to announce the launch of the AASSREC Policy Paper Series and invite proposals (up to 1,200 words) for Policy Working Papers that address urgent and emerging social challenges across the Indo-Pacific region. This initiative is part of the ‘Boosting Social Sciences’ program and aims to produce and publish a series of 8–10 peer-reviewed policy papers (between 3,000–10,000 words), drawing on regional expertise and supporting the translation of social science research into policy dialogue and decision-making.
The series will focus on the priority themes that were identified at the 2024 AASSREC Regional Funding Summit in Bangkok held in May, namely:
- Advancing Gender Equality
- Sustainability and Climate Change
- State and Social Transformations
- Indigenous Knowledge Systems
- Intergenerational Inequality
Proposals addressing other significant policy concerns will also be considered. However, preference will be given to those aligned with the themes listed above. Please find the detailed Call for Proposals for your reference. You may submit a proposal here. For further details or questions on eligibility, submission requirements, and timelines, please do not hesitate to contact the AASSREC Secretariat at info@aassrec.org.
