Cesar P. Macuja

Cesar P. Macuja was an active scholar and public servant focusing on economics. He was the Chairperson of the Philippine Social Science Council (PSSC) in 1985 and was also an Ex-Officio member of its Institutional Development Committee in the same year. Before this, he served as the Chairperson of the Management Audit Company, concurrent to being a consultant to the PSSC management audit in 1984. While leading the said council, Macuja was also an Assistant to the Prime Minister for Government Corporate Affairs.[1] Under the chairpersonship of Dr. Carolina G. Herrera in 1986, Macuja was a member of the council’s Executive Board, Social Issues Committee, Finance and Business Affairs Committee, and Institutional Development Committee.[2] Macuja served as the Chairperson of the Ways and Means Committee and a member of the Steering Committee under the Chairpersonship of Sylvia H. Guerrero during the preparation of National Social Science Congress II in 1988.[3] Aside from this, Macuja was the Secretary-Treasurer of the Philippine Economic Society in 1972 to succeed Quirino Camus.[4] A decade later, he became its President in 1982.[5]

Cesar P. Macuja also led a company, Dynetic Incorporated, where he worked as the Chairperson and one of its Directors.[6]
