PMRN is a member of two networks that work for migrant advocacy: (1) the Philippine Migrant Health Network, and (2) the Inter-Agency Committee on the Celebration of Month of Overseas Filipinos.
The Philippine Migrant Health Network (PMHN) is a multi-collaborative network composed of government agencies, civil society and non-government organizations, academe, the private sector, and international organizations working together for the promotion and protection of health of migrants and overseas Filipinos. PMRN co-heads PMHN’s Technical Working Group for Policy Advocacy and Research.
The Inter-Agency Committee on the Celebration of Month of Overseas Filipinos (IAC MOF) is a group created in 2007, tasked to organize activities to celebrate the Month of Overseas Filipinos every December. The annual celebration of the Month of Overseas Filipinos started with President Corazon Aquino issuing Proclamation No. 276 in 1988 in recognition of the significant contributions of overseas Filipinos to Philippine development and the restoration of Philippine democracy. Today, IAC MOF is composed of government agencies and civil society organizations, and is chaired by the Philippine Migrants Rights Watch and co-chaired by the Commission on Filipinos Overseas.
