Assessing Philippine Democratization and Governance: 25 Years After Edsa I

Objectives:

To assess the impact of the 1986 EDSA People Power on the country’s democratization processes and the building of more efficient and accountable governance institutions.

Project Description:The project involved the production of research papers examining the progress of Philippine democratization since the political transition in 1986, the dissemination of initial research findings, and publication and launch of the final research output. The final output entitled Chasing the Wind: Assessing Philippine Democracy was launched on 24 February 2012 at the Philippine Social Science Center.
